Alfie Moore is a stand up comedian and serving sergeant with Humberside Police. He brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his sixteen years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been key to his success and survival!

Born and raised on a council estate in Sheffield Alfie Moore was an apprentice in the steelworks before joining the Police. Early in his career he finished runner up in a national stand up competition and was well and truly hooked.

TYPE OF COMEDY

Alfie Moore has an observational comedy style, which lends itself to witty and sometimes gritty anecdotes based on everyday modern Policing. He enjoys writing all of his own material, which he finds therapeutic and is always prepared to laugh at himself.

PREVIOUS WORK AND EXPERIENCE

Alfie Moore subsequently served a whole new apprenticeship, honing his craft in comedy clubs all over the UK and was invited to be resident compere at the highly respected Other Side comedy clubs in the North of England.

In August 2008 Alfie wrote his own show and took it to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The preview of his new show for Edinburgh 2009 called Laughter Police, is already receiving very promising reviews.
