Originally from Cardiff Rhys works as a property developer and Prince Harry Lookalike, he attended the same school as Roald Dahl, Charlotte Church and Masterchef finalist Larkin Cen. As a teenager he was responsible for creating a fan website for Only Fools and Horses and met many of the actors including Boycie who spoke to his brother in character on the phone to give him advice about buying a used car.

At the 2013 Strictly Come Dancing Final, Rhys was seated on the end of a row where Bruce Forsyth would walk on and off the dance floor. On one occasion Bruce tripped and would have fallen, however Rhys put an arm out to save him, Bruce in typical fashion told him to behave himself!
