This website is operated by Costello Entertainments, the business is registered as a Data Controller with The Information Commissioner’s Office – Registration Number ZA339440 and we observe all our responsibilities under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and The Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations (PECR).

In addition Costello Entertainments are members of The Entertainment Agent’s Association GB and trade as an Employment Agency in compliance with the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 (as detailed in Statutory Instrument 2003 No. 3319).

We have created this Privacy Policy in order to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform visitors to this website about what information may be collected about them, how this information may be used and the ways in which we protect visitors’ privacy. Confidentiality and Security

Any information you provide will be held securely and in accordance with the GDPR. Your personal details will not be disclosed to third parties without your permission, except where required by law (for example to government bodies and law enforcement agencies). This website has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.

Our website provides a quotation Form (Contact Us). If you require a quote minimal contact information is needed (your name and email address) together with brief details about your event and the entertainer or service you are enquiring about.


Legal Basis

The legal basis on which your information is processed for the purpose of providing you with a quote is Contract.

Once a quote has been e mailed to you, details about your event will only be retained until the date of your event, after which it will be deleted unless you have made a booking in the meantime.

If you have opted-in to receive our E Mail Newsletters your name and e mail address will be retained for that purpose unless you unsubscribe or notify us that you no longer wish to receive them.


Legal Basis

The legal basis on which your information is processed for the purpose of completing a booking is Contract.

If you want to make a booking further details will be requested (Address, Phone number and payment details), together with full details about your booking. This information is needed for administration of your booking and will be kept securely. Your information and booking details will be retained for seven years after your event to comply with current HMRC Tax Regulations. After this period (or other amended period required by HMRC), your information will be deleted from our systems.

For bookings up to £199 we will e mail you our Terms of Business and a simple confirmation of booking. For bookings of £200 or above we will e mail you our Terms of Business and request your consent to e mail a Contract via Adobe E Sign for completion by electronic signature. Adobe E Sign Electronic signatures are legal and  trusted in countries around the world. Adobe E Sign Electronic Signatures are fully compliant with the GDPR.

E Mail Newsletters

Legal Basis

The legal basis on which your information is processed for the purpose of sending you E Mail Newsletters is Consent.

With your consent we may send E Mail Newsletters via Dotmailer from time to time if you have requested a quote or made a booking. We gather statistics like e mail clicks and opens in order to improve our E Mail Newsletters. Dotmailer is a leading E mail marketing company. We don’t use any automated programmes via Dotmailer, the only part of Dotmailer which may be considered automated is the varied timings that E Mail Newsletters are sent out to Clients. This does not affect your information adversely in any way.

You have the right to withdraw your consent for us to send you E Mail Newsletters at any time by unsubscribing directly from within E Mails or by contacting us (see below).


Legal Basis

The legal basis on which your information is processed for the purpose of assessing your application for representation or for representing you as your Agent is Legitimate Interest.

If you are an Artiste and enquire about representation (via our Artiste Sign-Up Form), basic contact information is needed (your name, email address and telephone number) plus further information about your act which is legitimately needed for assessment purposes. If we don’t offer to represent you, your information will be deleted from our e mail system within 12 months.

If we offer to represent you, in accordance with the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 (as detailed in Statutory Instrument 2003 No. 3319) we will e mail our Registration Form for you to complete together with our Terms of Business. These documents will need to be completed, signed and returned together with your ID documents, public liability insurance and PAT test document for any electrical equipment used in your act. We will also need your full publicity pack to include you on our website. Artistes information is maintained securely in our systems for as long as our working relationship continues.

If our working relationship ends we will delete your information from our systems seven years after the tax year in which it ended in compliance with current HMRC Tax Regulations which may be amended from time to time.


We use to publish this website. No personally identifiable information is stored on this website except for clients or visitors who want to leave reviews about our Artistes. In those cases alone WordPress requires you to enter your name and e mail address when you leave a review. Website Search

Our website search engine is simply a database search to assist visitors. No personally identifiable information is collected.


We use a third party service to maintain security on our website. Only visitors IP addresses are processed without any personally identifiable information being obtained or retained. In addition we have put in place physical, electronic and management procedures to protect your information.

Visitors that E Mail Us

Visitors should be aware that our e mail service is protected using Secure Transport Layer Security TLS. If your e mail service isn’t supported by TLS any e mails you send and any replies we return may not be protected.

E Mails you send including any attachments are monitored for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware that any e mails you send should be lawful.

Visitors Who Contact Us via Social Media

We use a third party provider to manage our Social Media interactions. You should also be aware that each Social Media platform that you use stores your private messages. Choice / Opt Out

Our website provides you with the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us at the point where we request information (Contact Us or Artistes Sign-Up Forms). If you do not wish to be contacted you may simply leave the site without giving your contact details.

Your Rights

How long Can You Hold My Information?

Under the GDPR your personal information may only be retained for as long as it is needed. We have a retention policy for different types of data which is stated above along with each type of information.

Can You Share My Information Without My Consent?

Third parties we share your information with are stated above and as a reminder here we will send you E Mail Newsletters only with your consent  via Dotmailer. For contracts above £200 we will send them for your signature online via Adobe E Sign. If you contact us via Social media, Hootsuite will store your message for 3 months and it will not be shared with anyone else. These are large responsible companies and keep your information securely in line with their Privacy Policies, links to which are provided above.

Ways in which we would be obliged to share your information would be for example with the Police in the course of a criminal investigation or if required by law with other official Government organisations.

You have a legal right to access information held about you and you can ask us to stop sharing information about you. We only have to do so if the sharing causes you unjustified damage or distress.

If you think your information has been used unfairly, you should first e mail us at the e mail address below, when we will explain how we have used your information and how we have followed the GDPR principles.

How Can I Get My Information Corrected?

If you believe that we hold information about you which is incorrect please e mail us at the e mail address below and state what information we’ve informed you that we hold and how you want us to correct it and we’ll act according to your instructions.

How Can I Get You to Stop Using and or Delete My Information?

If you want us to stop using your information please e mail us at the e mail address below, giving the information you would like us to stop using and the reason why. If you want us to delete your information also please specify the reason why. We will reply to you within 21 days.

Is My Information Transferred to Another Country or International Organisation?


No Client information is transferred to another country or organisation outside the European Union.


With the consent of the Artiste concerned their information may be transferred to another country or organisation within the European Union in connection with a booking.

Can I Make a Complaint?

In the first instance you should e mail us at the e mail address below with your concerns and precisely what you would like us to do with your information and we will reply within 21 days. We will always comply with your request unless we have good reasons within the GDPR not to do so. If we have not complied with your request without good reasons within the GDPR and have not replied setting out those reasons within 21 days, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Can I Transfer My Information to Another Organisation?

You have the right to obtain the information we hold about you and use it for other services.
